Where did the time go? September already? I have to say that I’m completely stoked for September! Me and my gang of merry music makers have lots of irons in the fire… and lots of gigs! The talent that has been out at the Brackley Beach Ceilidhs this summer has been unbelievable, and it’s not over yet. There are still 6 more shows to catch, so if you’re on the island (or going to be), make the trip out to visit us!

I’m very excited to tell you that there’s going to be new material released before Christmas. “But you just released a brand new (awesome) album!”, you say… Yes, I did, but we have a project in the works (one of those afore-mentioned irons in the fire), and I can’t wait to share more details with you!

I hope September is treating you well so far. :) I’ll write again soon!

- Did you see any of the Live! With Regis & Kelly episodes while they were on PEI in July? If you didn’t catch it, you can catch Regis’ clambake segment, along with many other parts of the show, online: Live! With Regis and Kelly – LIVE! Goes To Prince Edward Island.

- 38 gigs in 31 days… Bring it on, August! For anyone who’s going to be on PEI in the next little while, be sure to check out my schedule. The Brackley Beach Ceilidhs… “Follow The Fiddler” in Victoria, PEI… “Fiddlin’ With The Truth” in New Glasgow, PEI… And a whole slew of others!

- If you have any pictures from past shows that you’d like to put up on the website, feel free to e-mail them to me…

- Last but not least, if you’d like to book me and my merry music makers for a show sometime this fall or winter (or next spring), send me an email! We’re ready to go anywhere. We already have some dates booked for Alberta, as well as the New England states. Have a suggestion for a place for us to play? Let me know!

What a wild week it’s been! We got back from a wicked time playing at the Restigouche Heritage Festival in Campbellton, New Brunswick all weekend, just in time to shoot a beach party with Regis Philbin & Kelly Ripa from LIVE! With Regis & Kelly! We had a spectacular time, playing tunes for Regis and Kelly and all of the guests, enjoying the beautiful sunset from the beach at Crowbush, and the highlight of the night: Regis Philbin holding my hand and singing to me! It was brilliant.

And I know you’re asking…. WHEN can we watch it? It airs Thursday, July 15th, so check your local listings to see what station and what time it’s on in your part of the world!

Thanks to the LIVE! With Regis & Kelly team for inviting us to play, and to all of the fans who wrote in to the show to recommend us! You guys rock!!

Cynthia with two young fans at the Worcester Irish Music Festival

What a whirlwind few months it’s been! I can’t believe July is almost upon us. Riddle is *thisclose* to being released, and I’ve been testing out the new tunes at all of the shows. Jon Matthews and I got home last week after a bunch of shows in Massachusetts, including an awesome time at the Worcester Irish Music Festival. I was glad to make it back for the tail-end of the second Festival of Small Halls, which was a huge success. The weekend wrapped up with my first night at the Old Triangle Irish Alehouse in Charlottetown for the summer. I’ll be there every Sunday night until September, and Gordon Belsher joined me this past Sunday for some tunes. Great crowd, and an impromptu set of tunes with the Oisin McAuley Trio! (Yes, that’s Oisin from Danu.)

Lots of shows coming up on PEI, check out the tour schedule for more info! The Brackley Beach Ceilidhs get underway on Monday, June 28th… Follow The Fiddler starts on Tuesday, July 13th… Nils Ling and I begin “Fiddlin’ With The Truth” at the PEI Preserve Company on July 13th as well, and as I mentioned, lots of tunes on Sunday nights at the Old Triangle Irish Alehouse in Charlottetown.
