What a great time this fall has been so far! It started out with a wonderful five weeks on board the Norwegian Gem with Jon Matthews and Spencer Inch traveling from port to port in Eastern Canada and New England, meeting lots of great people from around the world.
We came home to a few gigs around Charlottetown, including an event at the Confederation Centre of the Arts with one of the world’s coolest astronauts, Col. Chris Hadfield. Not only is he an incredibly engaging public speaker and an absolutely brilliant human being, he is also one of the kindest people on earth (and in outer space). Jon and I had shared the stage with him back in June, and at last week’s event, he came over to us and said, “Sounding great as always!” He invited us to join him in closing the evening with a lovely song that he wrote; a great night all around. He signed my copy of “An Astronaut’s Guide To Life On Earth” too! Pardon my post-gig glow in the photo with him. 😉
I also spent last weekend in Alberta with Gordon Belsher, where we had a couple of great shows, including a sold out show in High River, Alberta. We have more shows coming up in Alberta with storyteller Nils Ling, so if you’re in Alberta or know someone who is, make sure you check out the tour dates for “The Truth About Christmas”! Fort McMurray, Vegreville, Okotoks, Camrose… and more!
See you soon,
